Here’s a fun recipe for all ages!

 

 

INGREDIENTS

  • 12 Mejicano taco-size tortillas (4.5 in.) 
  • 12 hot dog wieners
  • 1 L oil (for frying)
  • Ketchup and mustard (for garnish)
  • 12 toothpicks
  • 12 brochette skewers 

STEPS

  • Pour the oil into a large pot and heat until the temperature reaches 175°C.
  • Roll a wiener in each tortilla. 
  • Use a toothpick to keep each tortilla closed.
  • Submerge the hot dog rolls in oil for 1 to 2 minutes until the tortilla is golden.
  • Set aside on a rack to let the oil drain.
  • Remove the toothpicks and insert a skewer into the end of each wiener.
  • Garnish with ketchup and mustard, to taste.
