Fleur de sel caramel and apple crisp

Impress your friends with our reinvented version of apple crisp!

 

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 regular Burrito tortillas (12 in.)
  • 1 cup (240 mL) melted butter
  • 1 cup (240 mL) cinnamon-sugar mixture
  • 2 cups (500 mL) oat flakes
  • 6 diced apples (candied with brown sugar, maple syrup and cinnamon)
  • 1 cup (240 mL) hot fleur de sel caramel
  • Fresh mint for garnish

STEPS

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Peel apples and dice.
  • In a pan, sauté apples in butter and add ¼ of the cinnamon-sugar mixture. Set aside.
  • Place 2 tortillas on a work surface. Brush each one with melted butter.
  • Sprinkle the tortillas with oat flakes.
  • Add the candied apples and cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  • Cover with another tortilla and repeat the last step.
  • Roll the tortillas to make 2 large rolls. Cut into 2-in. sections.
  • Place the sections in an oven-safe dish.
  • Sprinkle with the remaining cinnamon-sugar and bake for about 20 to 30 minutes.
