“Big Mac” Tacos

No need to order fast food next time you’re hanging out with friends. Our “Big Mac” tacos are sure to satisfy the craving!

 

 

INGREDIENTS

  • 12 taco style Mejicano tortillas, 4.5” 
  • 2 lbs lean ground beef
  • 12 slices yellow cheddar
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 jar sliced pickles
  • A few leaves iceberg lettuce, washed and chopped
  • Salt and pepper, to taste


For the mayonnaise

  • 1 cup (250 mL) mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp (15 mL) relish
  • 2 tsp (10 mL) vinegar
  • 2 tsp (10 mL) prepared yellow mustard
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

STEPS

  • Shape ground beef into 12 patties, taking care to make them as thin as possible. 
  • In a bowl, mix together the mayonnaise ingredients and set aside. 
  • In a large non-stick frying pan, cook the beef patties while pressing down to keep them as thin as possible. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  • Before removing from heat, place a cheese slice on each patty. Transfer to a plate. 
  • In the same pan, heat tortillas for a few seconds to absorb all the tasty cooking juices. 
  • Place a patty on each tortilla, dress with mayonnaise and pickles, and top with onion and lettuce. 
  • Serve right away!
