Salami Roses

INGREDIENTS

  • 3 Mejicano tortillas, 10 in. 
  • ½ cup (120 ml) cream cheese, softened
  • 12 slices Genoa salami
  • 24 fresh basil leaves
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • Peppercorns

STEPS

  1. Spread the cream cheese over the tortillas. 
  2. On a chopping board, cut the tortillas into 4 large strips, about 2 inches wide. 
  3. Place 3 slices of salami in the centre of the tortilla strips, so that they overhang on each side. 
  4. Roll up each strip to create a tight roll, then cut the roll in half to get 2 rosettes. 
  5. Decorate with a basil leaf, add the lemon zest and peppercorns, and enjoy!
