Avocado Crema

4 to 6 portions

Creamier than guacamole, this avocado cream sauce is just as delicious for dipping tortilla chips.

 

INGREDIENTS

  • 4 ripe avocados
  • 2 limes
  • 1 cup (250 mL) sour cream
  • 2-3 sprigs of cilantro, chopped
  • Sea salt and freshly ground pepper to taste

STEPS

  • Pit the avocados and mash with a fork.
  • Add the lime juice, sour cream, salt and pepper to the mashed avocado, and mix well.
  • Place in a bowl and garnish with chopped cilantro.

Alternative: For a spicy dip, add about 2 teaspoons (10 mL) of your favourite hot sauce.
